Originally intended only for himself and friends, the high demand from fellow artists lead to the necessity of larger production. Each colour is milled in small batches to bring out the best qualities of the pigment used.

This set of imported Italian Earth Colours have the same pigments made famous by the Italian Renaissance and used by conservators. Clean, vibrant, more translucent than other earths, they can completely change your attitude of what an earth colour can be. Unlike synthetic iron oxides, no two natural earths are ever alike, and these rare Italian colours are prized among painters as among the finest available in the world.
